Ever Bar takeover

Ever Bar Takeover at Lost Property Bar: FREE! — Lost Property is the cocktail aficionado’s haunt of choice; proprietor Jeremy Lake and his team make perfect, sophisticated cocktails in an elegant, comfortable setting.  On Monday, Lake and company are hosting kindred spirit and fellow bartender Dan Rook: Chicago’s 2015 Bartender of the Year who has been tapped as the Lead Bartender & Cicerone® at imminent, up-the-hill neighbor Ever Bar: the craft bar inside The Everly Hotel from Kimpton Hotels (opening in early August.)  Rook will give Angelenos a sneak peek of Ever Bar offerings with his most creative, odd and weird “Riff Cocktails,” which will be complimentary from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  All other cocktails, beer and wine will be CASH ONLY!

Tomorrow, Monday is Funday….

Tullamore DEW & a Brew cheers

TULLAMORE D.E.W. & A BREW — The beer-and-whiskey shot combo known as a “boilermaker” has a reputation of being the choice of those more interested in speedy inebriation than refined pairing. This Tuesday, Tullamore D.E.W. aims to change the perception of the (in)famous pour with thoughtful pairings of three Tullamore D.E.W. Irish whiskeys — Tullamore Original, the Phoenix ~ Limited Edition, and the Trilogy 15-year-old — and three craft beers from Arts District Brewing Company. The evening will include a Master Class on whiskey and beer pairing lead by Tullamore D.E.W. Brand Ambassador Jane Maher and Arts District Brewing Co.’s Devon Randall: one of only two female brewmasters in Los Angeles! A welcome punch will be served on the patio with comfort food classics from Chef Neal Fraser’s Fritzi Coop.

Slainthe!

Greenbar & Cheese

The Golden State of Whiskey — There’s a new gold rush on the West Coast! California now has 80-plus distilleries producing delicious whiskeys and spirits! This Thursday, Kim Ohanneson, Whiskey Ambassador and President of Women Who Whiskey ~ Los Angele (a.k.a. Ms. Go Go), will introduce you to three, unique whiskies from the Golden State’s most innovative distillers and micro-producers. This small, intimate class will be held in a Victorian speakeasy parlor (twice featured as a pop-up at Stagecoach Music Festival!)  Guests will learn how to nose, sample, and savor like a pro while exploring these unique and delicious whiskeys as well as the history of whiskey in general. Enjoy a welcome punch to start then savor artisanal California cheeses paired with the whiskeys for the ultimate Golden State tasting.

Is there better gift for dads and grads than the gift of the “water of life”?  We think not….
