How to Win at Wine
Go Go’ers, get ready to rumble.
Wine Riot LA hits Downtown Los Angeles this Saturday and whether you know a Rhone from a Riesling, the revolution wants you.
The world awaits your wineglass with 250 wines from all over the globe, crash courses in which the “textbooks” are sipped, not studied, a “Bubbly Bar” (sparkling wines for your oh-so-sparkling personality), an “only-the-hits, ma’am” DJ, tattoos (don’t expect butterflies), photo booths, Instagram stations, and vintage-inspired postcards to record your “in vino veritas” adventures, mobile apps to record your faves, and hundreds of like-minded
drunkards wine enthusiasts.
Choose afternoon Riot 1 or evening Riot 2 for four hours of pours with no actual protest except against the boring and the mundane.
You’ll drink to that.

Twelve Years Dreaming
For the non-profit org’s twelfth anniversary, curator/event producer Michelle Berc and the C:F gang literally dream big in DREAMS; graffiti artists and fine art artists collaborate to create large, mural-like paintings in one of the org’s two warehouse spaces.
The intention is to bring down “the walls of the art scene” and if you’ve been to a C:F bash, you know that’s just what will happen.
The creative mash-ups will be finished in time for the Saturday anniversary party, which includes an all-ages afternoon preview (including a supervised Kids Kreativity Zone) before the 21+ all-night-long main event with 25 visual artists and the Audio Lab featuring a diverse group of musical artists. All of the proceeds benefit C:F’s programs, which encourage at-risk youth to express themselves through creativity.
All of the above and you get to play.
CREATE: FIXATE’S TWELVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY – DREAMS — Sat, Nov 9, 4-7 pm/all ages/free-$5 suggested donation. 7 pm – 2am/21+/$20 ($15 before 9 pm) — Lot 613, 613 Imperial St, DTLA 90021 https://www.facebook.com/events/115557768635112/
