We want to trade you whisky for your words.
On Thursday, September 12th, bring a poem, original or not, to B Black Penthouse: a 1920’s loft with a stunning cityscape view (and air-conditioning!)
Read poem in a candlelit circle of fellow aficionados. Get a flight of fine, single malt whiskies in return.
Bask in the glow.
Then, enjoy Mike “the Poet” Sonksen who’s read poetry everywhere in town and across the U.S. A third-generation Angeleno, Mike is known through his contributions to KCET, via bus adventures with Museum of Neon and Esotouric, and through his history/poetry tours, which have been written up by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the UK Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, and Straight No Chaser.
